LDAP Problems in Crowd:
At the moment, Crowd will often throw an UnexpectedRollbackException when an LDAP error is encountered. We're hoping to fix this in the next major release:

To find the actual cause, please take the following steps:
1. Under Admin -> Logging & Profiling, please change the com.atlassian.crowd package to DEBUG.
2. Replicate the action in Crowd that caused the UnexpectedRollbackException.
3. Review the CROWD/atlassian-crowd.log file for the real LDAP-related error.
