Confluence 2.10 has reached end of life
Check out the [latest version] of the documentation
Confluence uses UTF-8 character encoding to deliver its pages.
While it is possible to change the character encoding, unless you are certain of what you are doing, we recommend that you leave this as it is.
To change the character encoding,
- Go to the 'Administration Console' and click on 'General Configuration' in the left panel.
- Click 'Edit' at the bottom of the 'Formatting and International Settings' screen. For Confluence version earlier than 2.6.2, look for the 'Options and Settings' screen.
- Beside 'Encoding', enter the new character encoding of your choice.
- 'Save' your changes.
