The Universal Plugin Manager (UPM) is available in a number of Atlassian applications. Please see the relevant section below for instructions on how to access the Universal Plugin Manager in your application.
Accessing the Universal Plugin Manager in JIRA
Required Permissions: You need the JIRA System Administrator global permission to access the Universal Plugin Manager in JIRA.
To access the Universal Plugin Manager in JIRA:
- Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
- Select Administration.
The system displays the Administration page. - Choose Plugins from the Plugins section.
The Universal Plugin Manager appears.

Accessing the Universal Plugin Manager in Confluence
Required Permissions: You need the Confluence System Administrator global permission to access the Universal Plugin Manager in Confluence.
To access the Universal Plugin Manager in Confluence:- Choose Browse > Confluence Admin.
- Click the Plugins link in the Configuration section of the left-hand menu. The Universal Plugin Manager will appear.

Accessing the Universal Plugin Manager in Bamboo
Required Permissions: You need the Bamboo global admin permission to access the Universal Plugin Manager in JIRA.
To access the Universal Plugin Manager in Bamboo:
- Log in as a user with the Admin global permission.
- Click the Administration link in the top navigation bar.
- In the left-hand menu, under the title System, click the Plugins link.
