The Atlassian team are proud to announce the release of GreenHopper 5.1.

We are excited to announce a new level of organisation on the Planning Board: you can now further categorise Assignees and Components by Version.

GreenHopper 5.1 also provides full compatibility with JIRA 4.1, bringing you the new-look JIRA interface plus a host of other enhancements.

Upgrading to GreenHopper 5.1 is free for all customers with an active GreenHopper license.

"Permalink" your Boards

GreenHopper now provides "permalinks" on every Board. You can easily copy-and-paste the permalink URL into IM, email, etc, confident that the recipient will see exactly what you are looking at.

Simply click the permalink icon at the top right of every Board.

GreenHopper 5.1 introduces a 'Beta' option, giving you a sneak preview of new features coming in future releases! To switch it on:

  1. Log in as a user with the 'JIRA Administrators' global permission.
  2. Click the 'Administration' link on the top bar.
  3. Select 'General Configuration' from the 'GreenHopper' section of the administration menu.
  4. Select 'Beta' ?????

The new features being trialled in GreenHopper 5.1 will be of most interest to Kanban teams. They include:

  • An 'Unscheduled' Version on the Task Board, showing issues that are not assigned to a version.
  • A 'Release' button in the 'Done' column on the Task Board, which offers you the option of assigning all your 'Done' issues to either a chosen version or a new version.
