Symptoms

Going to Menu > Links throws a Communication Breakdown error as shown below:

The following appears in the atlassian-jira.log:

Cause

Remote JIRA Issue system plugin is disabled.

Resolution

• Navigate to the manage add-ons page as an administrative user

• Search under the system plugins for 'Atlassian JIRA - Plugins - Remote JIRA Link' plugin and enable it if it hasn't already been done

This issue has a log entry that is similar to another problem, JIRA returns 404 Error when searching for issues.
