Symptoms

Creating sub-task errors out with the message: Error creating issue: Source GenericValue can not be null. See the screenshot:

Cause

This error is caused by a misconfiguration of a postfunction introduced by the third-part plugin JIRA workflow toolbox.

Resolution

• Change the postfunction order to after the create issue;
• Or, remove the postfunction;

• Or, contact the plugin vendor to further assistance.
