This page describes how to find and manage the Crucible reviews that relate to you.

On this page:

Deciding what needs to be reviewed

The 'Statement of Objective' is a brief description of what the review is intended to achieve. Crucible does not dictate how or what to review. It simply provides a mechanism to record comments.

Browse Your Reviews Under the 'Dashboard' Tab

When you first load Crucible, the 'Dashboard' screen will load, which shows your current reviews and other activity related to you.

Use the Crucible 'Dashboard' to manage your reviews. Read the overview on filtering your view.

Active reviews are listed on each reviewer's dashboard under the default 'To Review' filter. Reviews are listed under 'Out for Review' until all reviewers indicate they are complete. Then the reviews move to the 'To Summarize' list.

Read more about using the Dashboard tab.

Browse All Reviews Under the 'Reviews' Tab

All reviews that involve you in any role are listed when you click 'Open' or 'Closed' in the left navigation bar. For instance, use the 'My Reviews' --> 'Open' filter to locate a review that doesn't require further action from you, but is still under way.

If email notifications are enabled (see SMTP settings in the FishEye documentation), reviewers will receive an email with information about the review. Click the link within the email to go directly to the review.

When Files Change During a Review

If a file in the repository changes during a review, Crucible will visually alert you by showing the 'File Outdated' menu:

From the 'File Outdated' menu, you can choose to view the latest revision of the updated file, or add the latest revision to the review:

The figures on this page are from Crucible 2.0.x and indicate the numbers of comments under the revision numbers.  In 2.1 it changed that it only shows the total number of comments behind the file name.  This can make it difficult to find "hidden" comments.

CRUC-2797 "Show the number of relevant comments for the current diff in addition to the total for the file" has been opened to address this issue. It suggest showing something like "1 of 3" to indicate how many relevant comments there are for the current view.  Please vote on this issue.

I have also reported getting errors if you try to use a URL to access a "hidden" comment from your "Favourites."

    1. Hi there Dale,

The figures on Adding Comments have not been updated.  The Adding Comments page is also where CRUC-2797 needs to be addressed.

In the document above, it states the following:

"From the 'File Outdated' menu, you can choose to view the latest revision of the updated file, or add the latest revision to the review:"

When I select the File Outdated drop-down to view it's menu, I only get the option to view the latest revision.  There is no option to add the latest revision to the review.

Depending on how the Edit Review Details is set up by the Administrator(s) for fisheye, you may only see the "add the latest revision to the review" if you are the author or the moderator.  Check with the administrator to see how they have it configured.

Is there a way to add latest revision to all files within the review , rather than doing the same for each file ?

I'd also like to know if the above is possible. Anyone know?
