From the GreenHopper Chart Board you can now display the Value Chart for each Watched Field. Learn more about these charts here.
To view the value chart by custom field,
- Log into JIRA.
Click the 'Agile' menu in the top navigation bar and select 'Chart Board' from the dropdown that displays. The 'Chart Board' will display.
- Select your project from the project dropdown in the top left of the Chart Board (next to 'CHART BOARD'), if it is not already selected.
- Select the version that you want to view the chart for in the 'View Version' dropdown, then select 'VALUE CHART', the custom field, and 'DAILY'/'BY CHILDREN' from the dropdowns next to it. The value chart for the custom value will display (see screenshot below).
- You can toggle the information in the chart on and off, by checking or unchecking the items in the legend under the chart.
- You can print the data as a chart, by clicking the 'Views' menu and clicking 'Printable'.
- The value chart provides you with the following information:
- Burndown ('DAILY' only) — The remaining hours until the version release date.
- Guideline ('DAILY' only) — The ideal burndown. It is computed with the remaining estimates not the original estimates of the issues at the start date of the version making the slope more accurate and precise.
- Required Daily Burndown Rate Curve ('DAILY' only) — The daily rate to required to attain your goal.
- Master burned values ('BY CHILDREN' only) — The remaining hours until the version release date.
- Forecast curves (dashed lines) — Forecasts of the curves based on historic information.
Daily
An issue watched field value will be added to the daily total burned value as soon as this issue is associated with a resolution. You will then be able to track the sum of the burned value for all issues in the displayed version per day.

By Children
If the selected version is a Master version, you can see the value chart of this version grouped by children. For example, a Release value chart by Sprints (better known as the velocity chart in the case of story points).
