Adding new products or 3rd party apps to existing Atlassian Cloud site

Platform Notice: Cloud - This article applies to Atlassian products on the cloud platform.

Summary

In a Cloud site, we see an option to Try Other Atlassian Apps; however, this does not add the application to the instance. Trying to add an app from the Atlassian Marketplace prompts you to log in at my.atlassian.com.

App installation is restricted to site administrators

Only members of the Site-Admin Group can add Paid Add-ons or Applications to the instance.


Apps for Confluence

To add new Atlassian Cloud products to your existing Atlassian Cloud:

  1. Navigate to Confluence home and click on Settings> User Management > Discover Applications.
  2. Select Free Trial or Sign up for free for each application you wish to include in your Atlassian Cloud Instance.

To add new 3rd party add-ons to your existing Atlassian Cloud:
  1. Navigate to Confluence home and on the top navigation bar click on Apps> Find new apps.
  • This page will allow you to search for add-ons available for use in Confluence Cloud.

Apps for Jira

To add new Atlassian Cloud products to your existing Atlassian Cloud:

  1. Navigate to Jira home and click on Settings> User Management > Discover Applications.
  2. Select Free Trial or Sign up for free for each application you wish to include in your Atlassian Cloud Instance.

To add new 3rd party add-ons to your existing Atlassian Cloud:
  1. Navigate to Jira home and on the top navigation bar click on Apps > Explore more apps.
  • This page will allow you to search for add-ons available for use in Jira Cloud.
