Configure JQL limit for the Lookup issues action

The Lookup issues action allows you to create a custom JQL query with issues that you can further reuse in other automation actions. Learn more about the Lookup issues action

By default, the maximum number of issues that can be retrieved by the JQL query is set to 100. You can change the issue list limit in the Global configuration, using the following values:

  • Add any integer starting from 1.
  • Enter “-1” to remove the limit. 

Removing the issue limit or setting it above 250 might lead to performance issues. Check out the performance guidelines for using the Lookup issues action

To change the limit of issues retrieved by the Lookup action:

  1. In the upper-right corner of the screen, select Administration > System.
  2. Under Automation for Jira (the left-side panel), select Automation rules.
  3. In the More actions ... menu, select Global configuration.
  4. Specify the limit in the Lookup issues results limit field.
