You can personalize your Bamboo profile by uploading a custom avatar.

If you set your avatar natively in Bamboo, it'll always be displayed regardless of whether Gravatar is configured. If you don't set a native avatar and Gravatar is configured, Bamboo will obtain the avatar from Gravatar. If neither condition applies, Bamboo will use the default avatar.

  • Bamboo supports the PNG, JPG, and GIF image formats.
  • The default maximum allowed size of an image is 2 MB.
  • The default maximum allowed dimensions of an image are 1500x1500 pixels.
  • Bamboo system administrators can change the default size and dimension limitations by setting the bamboo.avatar.max.size and bamboo.avatar.max.dimension system properties. See Configuring your system properties.

To change your avatar:

  1. From the top-right corner of the screen, select your avatar, and then select Profile.
  2. On the Personal details page, select Edit profile.
  3. Select Update avatar and upload a compatible image.
  4. Select Save.
