The Atlassian Crowd team is pleased to present Crowd 2.5.

This is a major release with a number of compatibility and performance improvements.

This release includes the following new features:

  • Support for JDK 7
  • Database drivers are now bundled for PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Crowd console performance improved with large numbers of groups.
  • Cookie domain validation made consistent with RFC 6265
  • Spring Security integration upgraded to version 3

There are also a number of bug fixes and other improvements. This release also removes the deprecated support for roles.
