FishEye publishes events that can be used to automatically trigger transitions in JIRA workflows (when FishEye is linked with a JIRA instance).

FishEye events are published by default, but a FishEye administrator can disable publishing, either for the whole FishEye instance, or for a particular repository. You may need to do this if duplicate repository events are causing incorrect issue transitions. Note, JIRA automatically removes duplicate commit events (JIRA 6.3.3+) and duplicate branch creation events (JIRA 6.3.11+).

To disable/enable repository events for JIRA workflow triggers:

  1. Click the 'cog' menu in the FishEye header, and choose Administration (you'll need to be logged in as an administrator to see this link).
  2. Under 'Repository Settings', click either:
    • Defaults to configure event publishing for all FishEye repositories.
    • Repositories, and then the name of the repository, to configure event publishing for a specific FishEye repository.
  3. Click JIRA workflow triggers.
  4. On the 'JIRA workflow triggers' screen, use the checkboxes to control the events that are published.
