This page tells you how to configure the Confluence settings for a SharePoint site.

These steps configure the SharePoint feature through a SharePoint site collection's administration screen.

  1. Open your browser to the Confluence settings page of the appropriate SharePoint site collection. You can access this URL using the following methods:

    • Navigate to the top level site within the site collection, select 'Site Actions' (at the top-right) -> 'Site Settings' -> 'Modify All Site Settings' and on the 'Site Settings' page, choose 'Confluence Settings'.
(info) The 'Confluence settings' page is only available if the Confluence SharePoint web part was deployed to that SharePoint site.

    • Enter the URL for this page direction using the format:
      http://<sharepoint-site-collection>/_layouts/Atlassian/ConfluenceSettings.aspx

    • Use the final step of the web part installer wizard which provides direct links to these pages. For more information, please refer to the instructions on installing the SharePoint feature.

  2. The Confluence administration screen displays the following:

  3. Edit the properties to configure your SharePoint site collection with the Confluence site.

    • Confluence Site: enter the base URL of the Confluence site.

    • Authentication Selection: choose the authentication method for the Confluence site:
      • If you choose 'Confluence Access Account', specify the Confluence username that SharePoint will use to access Confluence. This username must have full Confluence site administration permissions.
      • If you choose 'Microsoft Single SignOn (SSO)', please refer to our guide on setting up the Microsoft SSO service.

  4. Click the 'Test Confluence Configuration' button to test your configuration settings.

These Confluence Settings are automatically inherited by any SharePoint sub-sites. Hence, if no Confluence Settings have been configured for a SharePoint sub-site, the parent SharePoint site's Confluence Settings are used. However, any Confluence Settings set for a sub-site will override the parent site's Confluence Settings.
