Summary

Integrated Projects display the error message “No project could be found with key 'xxxx'" and nothing syncs between Jira and JA.

Diagnosis

When checking Admin > Jira Settings > Jira Setup, a warning on the Project name is displayed with the message “No project could be found with key 'x'".

Cause

There are 2 possible causes for the error:

1 - The connector user doesn't have permission to Browse Projects

2 - The PAT/API token for the connector’s user is expired/invalid

Solution

1 - To check if the problem is related to permission, they can use the Permission Helper, as detailed on the doc Error "Field 'xxx' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown" on Jira Align Connector and add it as needed.

2 - For the second case, they can check the details of the token as described in the HELP article https://help.jiraalign.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000088453-Jira-integration-setup#authenticationtypes , and issue a new one as needed.
