Displaying an image from either a remote source or from an attached file is easy.

To display an image from a remote source,

(info) You need to know the url from which the image can be linked.

What you need to type

What you will get

To display an image from an attached file,

(info) You need to attach your image file to the page to be able to display it.

What you need to type

What you will get

!fish.gif!

Once you attach a file, you can insert a link to it by clicking the 'Insert Image' link located above the text-box in the 'Edit' mode of the page. This will bring up a pop-up window that allows you to select the image.

Warning

Confluence will only allow you to attach a file when you have already created a page.
