The GreenHopper Classic Cumulative Flow Chart Gadget displays a Cumulative Flow Diagram on your JIRA dashboard.

A Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD) is an area chart that shows the various statuses of work items for a product, version, or sprint. The horizontal x-axis in a CFD indicates time, and the vertical y-axis indicates cards (issues). Each coloured area of the chart equates to a workflow status (i.e. a column on your board).

A CFD can be useful for identifying bottlenecks. If your chart contains an area that is widening vertically over time, the column that equates to the widening area will generally be a bottleneck.

    Can you have story points instead of number of issues on the y-axis?

  2. Anonymous

    I agree, Story Points as Y-axis is vital for our project, as well.  This should be in 5.5 or 6.0.

    1. Anonymous

      For us the story points on y-axis would make this very interesting. Issue count is not of interest.

    There is a feature request for this very thing. Please vote it up if you would like to see it implemented.

    How to make the color legend gadget be consistent with the CFD in Chart and released board?

    Or better, how to customize it?
    In http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GH/Viewing+the+Cumulative+Flow+Chart

    To do = orange
    WIP = blue green
    Done  = Violet
    Closed = Green

    In Gadget, it's

    To do = fuschia
    WIP = Blue
    Done = orange

    Most annoying is orange that means completely 2 opposite status.

    Request here http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-2866

    Thanks!

    I'd like to see the CFD NOT restricted by "version". E.g., to see CFD for last 30 days. How about just make "version" as a optional field?

    Any idea why my Cumulative Flow Chart only ever shows a single day?

    1. Not without looking at the data. Please raise a support request for assistance with this query.

      Thank you.

      sounds like you dont have versions set up properly.  either that or you've not told your chart to look at a particular version.

      personally i like to set a version called Full Project and set that as the parent version.  then set the chart to look at Full Project.  et voila

    3. Jussi Järvinen

      I had the same problem. The cause was that I had not set start dates for my versions. You have to set these in the planning board (not in project version management where I was trying to look for the solution). See item 10 in http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GH/Using+the+Planning+Board#UsingthePlanningBoard-PlanningBoardStatisticsColumn. Hope this helps you as well.

    I've configured a new workflow for the project, with several new statuses. When I view the rapid board for the project, it looks right; if I click "Report", the CFC is correct - it shows all the new statuses.

    However, if I view the CFC gadget for the project, it shows the old statuses. I've tried making a new gadget, but still the same problem.

    Does the CFC gadget not support any other statuses than the default ones?

  8. Laure Taboni

    Hello,

    I'm also trying to use this gadget. I am only using a Rapid Board for a Kanban team (with several columns and custom statuses) and I don't seem to be able to configure the CFD to show the data of this Rapid Board... Any ideas ?

    Thanks

    We have extended the task board to contain additional status, but the cumulative flow gadget still only shows 'to do' 'in progress' and 'done'. I've deleted and added it to refresh but still no good. Is there something else i need to do?

    Thanks

  10. Tobias Hoffmann

    I can't use this with the Rapid Board. It insists on a "version" when all we have are "sprints".

    1. Anonymous

      I can't find it either.

  11. Anonymous

    My Kanban board pulls issues from 5 projects. It would be much more useful to me if I could specify a query for this board instead of a single project. Any plans to make this change in the near future?

    Thanks,
    Charles
