Documentation for GreenHopper 6.2.x. Documentation for earlier versions of GreenHopper is [available too].

(info) Please note:

  • This page only applies to Scrum boards.

  • You will need to have the 'Edit Issue' permission in the project to which the issue belongs.

  • You can only add issues to versions that belong to the same project as the issue.

Adding issues to a version

  1. Log in to JIRA.
  2. Click the Agile link's down-arrow in the top navigation bar, then select your preferred board from the resulting dropdown menu.

  3. Your board will be displayed. Click Plan.
  4. If the Versions panel is not shown at the left of the screen, select Tools > Show Version Panel.
  5. Drag the issue(s) onto the relevant version. The version will turn green (see Screenshot 1).
(warning) When you add an issue to a version this way, the issue will be removed from any other version(s) to which it belonged.
  6. The version's name will be displayed on the issue as a grey lozenge.

Hi, I love the concept of being able to drag issues onto versions, however we will be cautious in using this functionality as "(warning) When you add an issue to a version this way, the issue will be removed from any other version(s) to which it belonged.". We frequently need to fix issues to multiple versions, so would appreciate having an "append fixVersion" rather than "replace fixVersion" toggle on this feature so we can add versions to those already specified on the ticket. Are Atlassian already planning to do this? thanks.
