Summary

This article covers the steps required to retrieve your Bamboo instance's Server ID value. The Server ID is an identifier for your Bamboo instance. When creating a Bamboo license on my.atlassian.com, you may be prompted to enter the Server ID. 

Environment

All supported versions of Bamboo.

Solution

There are two ways to find the Server ID:

User interface

You must be logged in as a user with administrative permissions for all of the following procedures.

  1. From the top navigation bar select Bamboo Administration  > Overview.
  2. Under the System section (in the left-side panel), open License details. The Server ID is displayed in the Existing license key details section of the page.

Manually in the filesystem

  1. Go to <bamboo-home-directory> and open the bamboo.cfg.xml file.
  2. The Server ID can be found at the <property name="serverId"> line:
