Platform Notice: Cloud Only - This article only applies to Atlassian products on the cloud platform.
Purpose
Clearing the browser cache is a common step in troubleshooting browser issues because the information stored in the cache may be cluttered with outdated or invalid data and sometimes cause problems that affect the performance or functionality of Bitbucket Cloud, such as:
- Bitbucket Cloud website may not display correctly because the browser loads outdated styles or scripts from the cache.
- Bitbucket Cloud website may load slowly because the browser is trying to access resources from the cache that are no longer available.
- Bitbucket Cloud website may not function as expected because the browser is loading an outdated version of a script that has been updated on the server.
Clearing the cache forces the browser to fetch fresh copies of all web resources, which can help to resolve these types of issues.
