Summary

When trying to run the Bitbucket Cloud Migration Assistant (BCMA) to migrate from Bitbucket Server/Data Center to Bitbucket Cloud, the migration plan fails and you need to renew the authentication token so the on-premise application can connect to the Cloud workspace. 

Environment

This message applies to Bitbucket Server and Bitbucket Data Center.

Solution

  1. Open the Bitbucket Cloud Migration Assistant. Go to Settings > Migrate to Cloud.
    Alternatively, navigate to <BITBUCKET_BASE_URL>/plugins/servlet/migrate#/monitor
  2. Click Create new migration
  3. Click Connect to cloud
  4. Click Choose new cloud destination
  5. Click Continue
  6. Enter your current Bitbucket base URL into "Migrate from"
  7. Select your destination workspace in "Migrate to"
  8. Check "Allow Atlassian to access migrations data"
  9. Click Confirm
  10. Create a new migration plan
