Problem

When opening a Microsoft Office file via Edit in Office with the Confluence Office Connector, Firefox throws an Out of Memory Error.

Diagnostic Steps

1. Go to your Firefox Add-ons
2. Go to the Options in your WebDAV Launcher
3. In the settings you may not see any configurations, or you may see that the application path is incorrect for the version of Office you are running

Cause

The WebDAV plugin configuration does not reflect the correct path to the Office executables. In most cases the add-on will automatically configure itself based on information from the system registry. However, issues can occur after an Office upgrade, or the automatic configuration may not work.

Resolution

Adjust the Firefox WebDAV Launcher's options to properly reflect the correct version of Office for the file extensions you are opening with the Edit in Office functionality

2. Go to the Options in your WebDAV Launcher
3. Follow the directions in our Configure the WebDAV Connector article, and ensure the settings are configured properly
