Purpose

This is a guide on how to bring reports from JIRA and JIRA Agile Reports into a Confluence page

Solution

Step 1 - Link your Confluence Instance with your JIRA Instance

1. Choose the cog icon, then choose General Configuration under Confluence Administration.
2. Choose Application Links in the left-hand panel. The Application Links configuration page appears and lists any links you already have set up.
3. Enter the URL of the JIRA instance you want to link to, then create the new link.
4. Use the wizard to finish configuring the link.
   
   

Step 2 - Find the URL of the particular JIRA / JIRA Agile Report that you want to bring into confluence.

1. Go to your JIRA dashboard by clicking the Dashboards link at the top left of the screen in your JIRA instance.
2. Click Add Gadget to see the list of gadgets in the directory.
3. Find the Report you want, using one or more of the following tools:
   • Use the scroll bar on the right to move up and down the list of gadgets.
   • Select a category in the left-hand panel to display only gadgets in that category.
   • Start typing a key word for your gadget in the Search textbox. The list of gadgets will change as you type, showing only gadgets that match your search term.
4. Click on the Show XML link for that Report and copy the URL into your clipboard.
   

Step 3 - Register the JIRA / JIRA Agile Report into Confluence

1. Choose the cog icon, then choose General Configuration under Confluence Administration
2. Choose External Gadgets in the left-hand panel.
3. Paste your gadget's URL into the Gadget Specification URL field in the 'Add a new Gadget' section.
4. Choose Add. Your gadget will be shown in the list of registered gadgets below and it will also become available in the macro browser.

Step 4 - Add the JIRA / JIRA Agile Report into a Confluence Page

1. Choose Insert > Other Macros.
2. Navigate to the gadget you wish to add to the page and choose Insert.
