How to bulk update Space permissions to add a group or an user to multiple spaces at once

Summary
You have a requirement to update several spaces at once in order to add/update spaces that a certain group or individual user must have a certain subset of permissions.

Solution
1. Access the Confluence Administration menu => Space Permissions screen:
2. Click on Add people to all spaces => Choose a user or group:
3. Choose an user or a group to bulk update Space Permissions for:
4. Choose if you want to make this bulk update on All spaces (Global & Personal), only on Global Spaces or only on Personal Spaces:
5. Choose which subset of permissions the user/group is supposed to have after the action is performed:
Note: If you choose an user or group that is already part of some spaces, this action will UPDATE the current permissions to spaces with the new subset that you've selected above.
6. Hit Add to all.
