How to globally disable e-mail notifications with page content
Platform notice: Server and Data Center only. This article only applies to Atlassian products on the Server and Data Center platforms.

This article can only be implemented in Confluence versions between 5.5.0 - 7.2.0. Newer versions will not have the option to disable the relevant System modules.
Purpose
If users prefer to keep all e-mail notification features but prefer not to receive any notifications regarding page content such as:
- Page creation
- Page edited
- Page moved
- Page deleted
- Comment deleted
The Confluence administrator will need to disable some modules which will be described in detail below.
The steps below are intended to disable those types of notifications globally, for all users - this can't be done for a single or group of users.
Steps
- Navigate to the Confluence administrators menu
- Navigate to the "Manage Add-on" menu
- Choose "System Plugins" from the drop-down list
- Find and click the "Confluence Content Notification" plugin
- Click the "<Number> of <Number> Modules enabled" button
- From there, find and disable the following modules
- page-created-notification
- page-edited-notification
- page-moved-notification
page-trashed-notification
For page delete action, please ensure that you've done the following steps as well to disable the email notifications:
1. Access the Confluence Dark Features page in your instance through the URL below<confluence_baseURL>/admin/darkfeatures.action
2. Enable the following dark feature in your Confluence instance by adding it through the provided text box and then click *Submit*:
notification.plugin.api.enabled.com.atlassian.confluence.event.events.content.page.async.PageTrashedEvent
To disable comment deletion e-mails, find and click the "Confluence Email Notifications Plugin" plugin
- Click the "<Number> of <Number> Modules enabled" button
- From there, find and disable the following module
- notification-templates-comment-remove-1.0.0
- notification-templates-comment-remove-1.0.0
