Confluence needs a database driver to connect to your database. To make the driver for your database available to Confluence:

  1. Download and extract the appropriate driver .jar file - see Database JDBC Drivers for a list of supported drivers.
  2. Drop the .jar file in your <installation-directory>/confluence/WEB-INF/lib directory.
  3. Restart Confluence.
