Problem

When viewing a page in Confluence with the Documentation Theme, the navigation sidebar exists but is blank.

No errors appear in the atlassian-confluence.log

Cause

The option to show the Page Tree is not enabled.

Resolution

• Enable the Page Tree option:
  1. Go to Confluence administration
  2. Go to Themes
  3. Under Documentation Theme click Configure theme
  4. Click the checkbox next to Page Tree
  5. Save
