Problem

Despite removing an application link, when you go to Admin > Application Links, you see this warning:

"There are existing Trusted Applications or OAuth relationships that should be upgraded to Application Links. Click here to upgrade."

Cause

This occurs when an application link configuration is incomplete, and the removal did not remove all traces of it. It can also occur if a link was deleted through the database and not all data was removed.

Resolution

Follow the instructions are used to completely delete the application link from the database: Alternative Methods of Deleting Application Links in Confluence. This is likely caused by data in the keystore, or oauth rows in bandana, so ensure all the steps are completed and there is no reference to the link anywhere in the database any longer.
