Problem

Crowd installation fails with the following errors in the atlassian.crowd.log file.

Diagnosis

  1. Remove all data files from <Crowd-Home> directory.
  2. Reinstall Crowd.

Cause

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is not updated as per Crowd Supported Platforms where JAR files are missing from the outdated Oracle JDK/JRE.

Resolution

  1. Update Oracle JRE/JDK to the latest version supported by Crowd as described in Crowd Supported Platforms.
  2. Restart Crowd Installation.
