Problems Configuring the Perforce Plugin
Symptoms
<log level="VERBOSE" date="10/10/07 8:19:44 AM">From P4:error: Unicode clients require a unicode enabled server.</log>
<log level="VERBOSE" date="10/9/07 8:55:38 AM">From P4:exit: 1</log>
<log level="ERROR" date="10/9/07 8:55:38 AM">P4 exited with an Error!</log>
Cause
The perforce charset is set to utf8.
Workaround
In the perforce-jira-plugin.properties file, this needs to be commented out:
p4.charset=utf8
Resolution
Perforce integration is now offered through the JIRA Fisheye Plugin.
