Summary

When trying to invite a user, you see an error stating the account is deactivated, disabled, or suspended. The user belongs to a verified domain and the account is Managed.

Confirm the verified domain for affected users

If an account cannot be invited because of deactivation or disabled state, the account must be reactivated before it can be invited. Confirm the user belongs to a domain that is verified under your own organization. This can be found by looking at a users email address suffix (@example.com → where example.com is the domain).

Then, compare this domain against the domains verified under your organization.

Check which domains your organization has verified

Check which domains your organization has verified

  1. Visit https://admin.atlassian.com
  2. Select your organization (if more than one)
  3. Click Settings in the top menu
  4. Click Domains on the right side

If the domain belonging to the user(s) do not match any of the domains you have verified, the user's account was disabled under a different organization. Only organization admins from the organization that has verified that domain can reactivate the user.

If you are unable to find which organization has verified the domain, please open a support request at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/
