Summary

You may see that you are unable to create project in Jira even though the creation process was successfully.

Cause

This issue to be due to the permissions provided in the "Default software scheme" which will be by default picked when a software project is being created. Check the permission scheme, if "Browse project" permission is provided to group or project role you are part of.

Basically, this means that you do not have "Browse project" permission which is the reason why you are unable to view the project. But the project is being created. You can check it out from Project -> view all project
