Performance factors
The overview screen is where you see the top factors that may be impacting your performance and scale. These help you understand potential actions you can take to improve performance and protect against degradations. The recommended actions are based on a combination of your own data as well as Atlassian’s own expertise working with thousands of Cloud customers.
Load times
Lower down on the overview screen, you will see four load time charts:
Overall load time, aggregated across the three experiences
Board load time
Work item load time
Backlog load time
These charts aggregate load time data from all end users across your site. You can view both median (50th percentile) and P75 (75th percentile) values, looking back up to 12 weeks in order to track changes over time.
Load time is measured using Time-To-Visually-Complete, or TTVC. TTVC measures the load time an end user experiences. Specifically, it captures the time until the visible content stabilizes and stops changing. Note that TTVC differs from backend or API response times, as it reflects the entire load time experienced by the user interface, not just the backend response.
Exploring the rest of Site optimizer
In addition to the Overview screen, there are three other tabs: User setup, Board performance, and Limits & cleanup.
User setup
The User setup screen provides insight into how your site’s load times are affected by the hardware, software, and network connection of your end users as they access Jira. Click here to learn more about User setup.
Board performance
The Board performance screen displays your site’s boards, identifies those with slow performance, and offers recommendations to optimize them. Click here to learn more about Board performance.
Limits & cleanup
The Limits & cleanup screen displays limits and guardrails for key Jira entities, as well as optimization tools to help clean up old data and streamline configurations. Click here to learn more about Limits & cleanup.
