Uninstalling the HipChat Apps
Should you need to uninstall the HipChat apps, here are the instructions.
Uninstalling the Windows desktop app
- Click the Start menu.
- Windows 7 and Vista: Select the Control Panel.
- Windows 8 and 10: Type Control Panel, then select it.
- Click Uninstall a Program. A list of applications appears.
- Right-click HipChat, then select Uninstall.
Uninstalling the Mac OS X desktop app
- Quit the HipChat application.
- Open Finder, then the Applications directory. A list of applications appears.
- Click the HipChat application, then drag it to the Trash.
Uninstalling the Linux desktop app
HipChat is a standard package. Refer to your specific Linux distribution documentation for uninstallation instructions. You can also see the following documentation:
Uninstalling the iPhone / iPad app
There are multiple ways to remove apps. Here's one way:
- Tap and hold the HipChat app's icon for a moment, then let go. The HipChat icon (and all others start) moving and a gray "x" icon appears in the icon's corner.
- Tap the "x" icon.
- Click Delete to confirm you want to delete the app.
Uninstalling the Android app
There are multiple ways to remove apps. Here's one way:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap the Menu icon, then My Apps.
- Tap the HipChat app, then tap Uninstall.
