Available options to bulk delete Stories and Features in Jira Align

This article outlines methods to bulk delete Stories and Epics in Jira Align UI.

Please note that backend SQL or API bulk deletions are not supported by Jira Align at the time of writing this article.
For now, the recommended method is deleting work items from the Jira Align UI, there are a few resolutions for several different scenarios:
Mass Delete option when Jira Align work items are not linked to Jira issues | Use the Mass Delete tool:
Tip: To display more records on the Mass Delete View page, go to the Personal Settings, and change the Records Displayed Per Screen to 30 Mass Delete is only available to Super Admins |
The Stories no longer exist on Jira and you need to remove them from Jira Align | Use the "Jira Deleted Issues" functionality on Jira Align. It will identify all Jira issues that are no longer available (Deleted, Permissions removed) and then you can delete the correspondent issues from Jira Align. The Project and its Stories must remain intact on Jira and Deleted only on Jira Align | Change the permission on the Jira parent project of the Stories so that the Jira Software Connector Service account no longer has permission to view and modify it. Then use the "Jira Deleted issues" functionality. All the project's issues will show on the report and be available to delete on Jira Align. |
