Summary

How to modify the stylesheet or make other adjustments to differentiate the look and feel of Jira Align for Test and Production instances

Environment

Jira Align

Solution

To inform users about whether they are using Jira Align Test or Production, you can consider implementing one of the following two solutions:

Solution_1

  • Use the 'Settings-> Announcement', see the first image below.

You can create an announcement and choose the type 'Ongoing'. This ensures that every time a user logs in, they receive the message indicating if the environment is Test or Production. See the second image below.

Solution_2

  • Use the 'Settings-> Platform Terminology', as shown in the first image below
  • Search the 'Navigate Menu' section and on the 'Custom Setting' column, you can customize what you want to see in the menu

See the menu customized in this second image as result

  1. You can customize it with images
  2. You can customize just by adding a sentence near the item in the Navigation menu, for example, call 'Program' as  'Program_test'
