Problem

After upgrading from JIRA 7.0.X to JIRA 7.1.x, users are unable to access the boards for their Agile projects getting errors similar to those in the image below:

The following appears in the atlassian-jira.log

Diagnosis

Environment

• Problem occurs only after upgrading JIRA Core to JIRA 7.1.2

Cause

User most likely upgraded JIRA core to the newer version and failed to upgrade JIRA Software Application to a compatible version with JIRA 7.1.2

Resolution

Upgrade JIRA Software to a version compatible with JIRA Core 7.1.2
