Dashboard gadgets display Forbidden Error

Problem

When you load JIRA, all the Gadgets in the Dashboard display a Forbidden Error:

Cause

JIRA is running behind Apache and it has mod_evasive enabled. 

Resolution or Workaround

  • Disable mod_evasive and reload Apache's configuration.
