Scenario

You may face the following error message when trying to delete an Assets status:

Cause

There are three possible root causes triggering the error message, refer to the following examples:

1 - The status is listed as an available option within one of your object type Status type attributes:

2 - There is an existing object with a Status type attribute referencing the specific status:

In both scenarios above you should see the following error message on the browser's developer tools network tab:

3 - You are running into the following known bug:

• JSDCLOUD-12665 - Getting issue details... STATUS

Solution

In order to successfully delete the status, you should either:

1 - Update the object type's Status type attribute by removing the specific status as a selectable option on it.

2 - Edit the object referencing this status and remove it from its attributes. 

3 - In case you are facing the above bug behavior, you may use the workaround described in the bug ticket itself, as follows:

• The only way to delete these statuses at the moment is to add a Type value to every existing status-type attribute on your Assets schemas
