Overview

This page explains how to enable the 'Attachment' field on the JIRA Create Issue page, so that users can upload an attachment while creating the issue.

Solution

This could be achieved by modifying the JIRA configuration as follows:

Verify if Attachments are enabled in JIRA

  1. Browse to JIRA Administration -> System -> Attachments
  2. Check if the Attachments configuration is set to ON

Unhide the Attachment field for the field configuration

  1. Browse to the relevant Field Configuration page (e.g. JIRA Administration -> Issues -> Field Configurations -> Default Field Configuration)
  2. Unhide the 'Attachment' field
