Summary

Starting Jira Service Management 5.9.0, customers are able to share requests with groups. Due to this new feature, an option to view all requests shared with a group will be available on the portal under the Requests menu:

You can read more about the new feature in the Jira Service Management 5.9.x release notes and also in this documentation.

This article provides a solution to prevent groups from being shown under the Requests menu on the customer portal.

Environment

Jira Service Management 5.9+.

Solution

Navigate to <BASE_URL>/secure/admin/SiteDarkFeatures!default.jspa and add the dark feature "sd.display.user.project.groups.on.portal.disabled".

After adding this dark feature, groups will not be shown under the Requests menu:

For more details on how to add dark features, please check the KB here.
