Summary

By default, the primary technical contact will always receive emails regarding security vulnerabilities as well as other technical and contract-related alerts (pricing changes, maintenance notifications, etc).

In certain circumstances, administrators may wish to include additional email addresses to receive Atlassian security vulnerability notifications without assigning them administrator roles within their account.

Environment

Atlassian products.

Solution

Users don’t have to be an Atlassian administrator in the Email Preference Center to be able to opt-in for this.

  1. The additional email address that needs to be added must first create a new account on https://my.atlassian.com
  2. There is a selection for “Email Preferences.” This is the same email preference page as anyone else (it is not unique to admin, employee, tech contact, etc).
  3. Scroll down to the section titled “Tech Alerts'', the new user can check the relevant box to receive Atlassian Security vulnerabilities.
