How to setup Average Time in Status Gadget

Purpose
To guide users on the proper way to set up the Average Time in Status Gadget.
Environment
Jira Data Center
Solution
Download Jira Charting Plugin from the Marketplace or search for this app in the Jira UPM via the page ⚙ > Manage Apps > Find new apps
- Go to your dashboard and click on Add new gadget
- Search for Average Time in Status gadget
Next, go to Jira administration -> Issues-> Custom Fields -> Add New Field -> From advanced pick Time in Status -> Name it "Time in Status" and on the next screen just update. Do not add the field to any (transition) screens
- Perform a reindex
