Symptoms

After manually upgrading the JIRA Agile add-on module, the Agile tab is not seen and JIRA Agile functionality is lost.

The following appears in the atlassian-jira.log:

main ERROR [plugin.osgi.factory.OsgiPlugin] Detected an error (BundleException) enabling the plugin 'com.pyxis.greenhopper.jira' : Unresolved constraint in bundle com.pyxis.greenhopper.jira [95]: Unable to resolve 95.0: missing requirement [95.0] package; (&(package=com.atlassian.core.ofbiz)(version>=5.1.0)(!(version>=7.0.0))). This error usually occurs when your plugin imports a package from another bundle with a specific version constraint and either the bundle providing that package doesn't meet those version constraints, or there is no bundle available that provides the specified package. For more details on how to fix this, see http://confluence.atlassian.com/x/1xy6D

(info) Whoops, that URL is 404'ing. We're looking into it under APL-924.

Cause

JIRA Agile 6.2 is not compatible with JIRA 5.0

Resolution

  1. Upgrade JIRA to version 5.1 or higher

If a JIRA upgrade is not possible:

  1. Remove any .jar or .obr files containing the string JIRA Agile from the <jira-home>/plugins/installed-plugins/ folder
  2. Re-install your previous version of JIRA Agile using the Universal Plugin Manager

(info) If you are unsure of your previous version of JIRA Agile, please check your atlassian-greenhopper.log file.
