Problem

When handling individual issues (create, delete, etc), JIRA doesn't behave as expected.

When deleting issues, the following appears in the atlassian-jira.log

Cause

Corrupt caches can cause the behavior above.

Resolution

  1. Stop JIRA
  2. Remove the *.bundled-plugins* and *.osgi-plugins* manually in the *<JIRA Home>/plugins* directory (These are hidden by default in linux)
  3. Remove the contents of the *<JIRA Install>/work* directory

Only remove the contents, do not remove the directory itself

  4. Restart your JIRA instance

If this resolves your issue there may be a directory related issue as these files should be cleared upon restart

Description

When handling individual issues (create, delete, etc), JIRA doesn't behave as expected.

When deleting issues, the following appears in the atlassian-jira.log
