'Source GenericValue can not be null' while creating sub-task

Symptoms
Creating sub-task errors out with the message: Error creating issue: Source GenericValue can not be null. See the screenshot:
Cause
This error is caused by a misconfiguration of a postfunction introduced by the third-part plugin JIRA workflow toolbox.
Resolution
- Change the postfunction order to after the create issue;
- Or, remove the postfunction;
Or, contact the plugin vendor to further assistance.
