Unrecognized function 'getJiraHelpUrl'

Problem

JIRA is hitting into a error 500 page when accessing the Permissions Schemes. 

The following appears in the atlassian-jira.log

Cause

The “Soy Function” plugin is disabled. The Soy plugin is used as part of some templates for JIRA and when it is disabled, JIRA is not able to call those functions on which it relies.

Resolution

Enable the “Soy Function” plugin 

  1. Navigate to the Manage Add-ons page
  2. Select All-add-ons
  3. Search for "Soy Function Plugin"
  4. Ensure that it is enabled
