Configure the work item details
You can customize the work item to show more fields, hide fields, and rearrange the field layout.
To configure the layout of the work item—which fields appear and the order they appear in—open a work item and choose Configure at the bottom-right. To find out more about configuring the layout, check out Configure field layout in the work item.
Before you begin
To configure the board and any of its settings, you must be either:
a project administrator for the location of the board
a board administrator for the board itself

You can configure the fields to be displayed in the work item on the board configuration screen. The values of some fields are also editable in the work item.

Some fields may be hidden, depending on the field configuration scheme used for the project's work types.
Adding, removing, or moving a field
Click the Jira icon > Projects > then select the relevant project.
Choose Settings > Screens
Click the > to expand the relevant screen scheme
Select the View work item screen
Add or remove the desired fields
Your fields will then appear in the work item. Note that fields will only appear on a work item if they have been associated with the relevant work type, and are not hidden.
