Question

Why is my team of Jira Administrators receiving multiple emails from Jira users? 

Environment

Jira Cloud

Answer

When the option "Contact Administrators Form" is set to ON under "Settings > System > General Configuration", "non-admin" users may use this functionality as follows: 

  1. Any "non-admin" user will be able to select "contact your Jira admin":



  2. The user will need to fill out the form: 



  3. All Jira administrators from the instance will receive an email, to identify if an email came from the "Contact Administrator Form", notice that the email will have "New Message from Contact Administrators page" in its body: 

     

    Jira Administrators can turn this feature OFF, if needed.  See also Configure Jira application options for more details.
