Cause

This error message is misleading and typically occurs when attempting to delete a screen associated with a "Create" transition in any workflow. When a screen is linked to the "Create" transition of a project's workflow, the option to delete it remains available. However, if the screen is associated with any other transition, it appears under the Workflows column on the Screen page, and the delete option becomes disabled.

This KB article aims to raise awareness and provide a workaround until the underlying problem is resolved.

Solution

  1. Identify the screen's usage:

    • Navigate to the screen in question, click on the three dots (more options), and select "Configure".

    • Identify the projects where the screen is being utilized. For example, if the screen "Screen associated to Create transition" is used in the "PUBLIC PROJECT", this will be displayed:

  2. Analyze the Workflow Configuration:

    • Navigate to the project's workflow configuration page.

    • Inspect each of the workflows and focus on the "Create" transitions.

  3. Remove the Screen from the Create Transition:

    • If the screen is associated with the Create transition, edit the transition:

    • Remove the screen by setting it to 'None':

    • Ensure you apply the changes to the workflow by clicking on "Publish Draft":
